Explainable Collective Decision & Action

A decision a team cannot explain is a decision a human cannot authorise.

Shared understanding only matters if it changes what the system does. This pillar turns a shared world model into coordinated physical action — task allocation, macro-actions, multi-robot and robot-IoT coordination — and insists that the resulting decisions carry a trace a human can read and challenge.

Open questions

  1. 01

How do you allocate tasks when the team disagrees about the state of the world?

  2. 02

What does an explanation trace for a multi-agent decision actually look like?

  3. 03

How much reasoning should happen before acting, when acting reveals more information?
